Shouldn't be a problem. Every year we tak the seed that was left over from the year before (provided there was any) and we mix it with new. Gerination miht not be quite as god as it was the year before, but it'll still grow just fine.

Wheat has been successfully planted that was taken from the Egyptian pyramids, so I'm guessing you should be fine. As suggested, do a germination test and it will at least give you a bit better comfort level, but if the seed was kept reasonably cool and dry you should be good to go.

This old seed comes up every now and then. I have two kinds of tomatoes started with no problem, The seed was packaged for 1986. Germination was better then the Martha S seed I bought last year.

Do a quick germination check. Put some seeds between damp paper towels and keep in a warm low light area, keep the paper towels damp. You'll know in a few days.

If the germination is low, just mix it with some new seed and seed a little heavier.

Yes I think it will be ok. I had some clover mix that was at least 5 yrs. old kept in a cold shed. I tried planting it as I had nothing to loose. It came up nice and flourished into a real nice crop.

Seeds with hard seed coats can last years but grass seeds go downhill fast within just a couple of years.
