My Uncle has a Mercury 110, 9.8hp motor he needs to replace the spark plugs in, but neither one of us can figure out how to remove the motor cover. any help would be appreciated.

I have two of these...there is a pair of levers at the back of the engine under the cover lift these up and the cover lifts up and off from the back

this is a 2 piece cover i think. there should be a knob on the front that you remove then 2 snap locks you release. This will be the case if it is a metal cover.

In the front under the recoil there should be a release see if the brand label pulls open
