Let's just start off by saying I have no personal attraction to the 9N, 2N or 8N tractors. I have not attended too many tractor pulls in my time, but I have never seen an N series tractor at the pulls. I was just wondering how they do...the high horsepower to pound tractors that they are?

Thanks,
Glenn F.

Have been to a few pulls, but can't say I know anything of them or understand how they keep the nose down on one of these, especially the N's, after seeing the larger and longer nose ones pulling. That's got to be something else to pull with one of these.

The funniest thing I've ever seen at one these pulls is when one of the hot rod'd tractors pulled right to the end and out the door so to speak, almost identical tractor and weight ( they must have been friends having arrived on the same trailer ), the other one just quit midway, where his buddy seemed like he could have pulled til he ran out of space, think I've got that one on video, but cut off at the end, a few of us went to this show, really enjoyed watching the pulls.

not a 8N but i pull a Ferguson TO-20 in 2700 to 3200 last year i pulled 7 blacktop or concrete pulls and two clay had 5 firsts 2 seconds 1 third and one no show [don't ask]main reason you don't see many of them pulling is 1st. gear is to fast but with a step up trans you will have the gears on blacktop i pull in second low or first high but on clay it's first low only and if it a good biting track will run out of power

There is a young Lady who pulls one out here and does quite well in her class.
