I enjoy reading WWII books especially Stephen Ambrose. Cannot imagine What the people had to endure. Sadly In the current state of our country I would seriously doubt that we would have the Character to do it again (if a similar situation presented itself today). God does Bless America.

Both my grandfathers fought in WW2 and both came back. My one grandfather was a Major in the war and a pilot. May the European continent never see that type of bloodshed again, or you may have to fight it yourselves.

They are called "The Great Generation".

Wish I could have talked to Grandpa more, but he did not really want to talk about those times much.
