I have a deweze hay mobale wagon ( small square bale mover) anyway it has a dodge 360 V8 and a 5 speed ?process? trans that right now is STUCK IN 5th GEAR. I took the top plate off and don't see anything obvious but still can't seem to get it into N any help would be great. Does anyone know if you can pull the trans from the bellhousing even though its stuck in gear? Thanks

Mark

If I"m not mistaken, 5th gear behind the tailshaft housing, with its own fork. There was a problem with those gears coming loose. (I think it was a snap ring coming off) They make an updated locking nut to solve the problem.

I had something like that with a similar truck transmission some years ago... a snap ring had come of of one of the shift collars/synchros.

I was able to get it back in place without removing the tranny by taking the top cover off.

That's what I'd do first... remove the top cover and have a look down inside.

And, yes, you CAN reove the tranny from the engine/bellhousing even if it's stuck in gear.
