Can the 1000 pto shaft be switched out for a 540 pto shaft or not?? Is there anyway to do it??? Thanks Guys!

I take it that you checked to see if you don't have both? My 3020 and my son's 4440 have both.
I may be wrong but check. Do you have a manual?

So, you're wanting to pull a square 'bailer' (that's for paul) and a haybine with a 5010? Is this the early '60s 5010? Man, I'd forget that!!!!! !!!

Probobaly not the answer you want, but, you can get a shaft adapter. Problem is, you gota run the engine slower to reduce shaft speed or bye bye gearbox(es). That may be hard to do in some operations, to keep neccesary power.
