Just bought 1710 with very little info on it (waiting for service manual). Works great so far. I drained hydraulic fluid from trans, but when I took bolts out of the rear end(diff) to drain, there was no fluid, in fact the drain bolts were dry. I filled with new fluid and still rear end drain bolts were dry and no fluid came out of rear end. I believe the trans and rear end work off the same reservoir and pump. Am I missing something here. Any help would be appreciated.

yup... you're missing your service manual because obviously, those aren't the correct drains. ;)

Too funny. I'm dumb, but not that dumb (I think). They are definatley the drain plug bolts (I'll admit, you did get me to go out and check them again). My concern is that fluid/oil is not getting to the rear end from the trans. reservoir (i.e. a clogged filter, etc.). Thanks for the quick response .
