This old MM is in a museum in Stanthorpe Queensland Australia-my home town. Can anyone tell me what year she would be. MM's are rare here, first one i have seen up close.

By it having a cast iron steering wheel I would say it is a war time tractor. I think I read somewhere that they did put cast iron steering wheels on them during the war. I have one just like it in Illinois but mine is on rubber and has electric start. Mine is a 1944. Bruce

Hi BCG. Newcastle is about 8 hours south of Stanthorpe and about 1 hour north of Sydney. The museum in stanthorpe is a good one, took us 2 hours to get round it. Loots of old time farming gear. It was populated by immigrants from Europe between the two world wars. Many Italians like Stanthorpe as it was a good wine grape growing area.

It is an early ZTU. Looks to be a very nice tractor. My wife and I are planing a trip to see my sister-in-law and her boyfriend next summer. He is from Newcastel. Is it a large Museum? Maybe something fun to check out.
