The repair is simple, take your duramax to your local dodge dealership, trade your chevy and a little cash for a real diesel pickup, sit back and enjoy!

Hello R Warren.
Not enough info. Does it crank for a long time before it starts? I'm assuming that it is cranking over fast enough.
Give more details. With the little info you gave it would be just a guess. Guido.

My 02 GMC Duramax wouldn't start when cold. GM had extended warranty on the injectors to 200K miles, so I got a new set gratis. Starts great now!

I have a 03 duramax that was starting hard the same way after it was warm it wouln't start, the injectors were bad 7 of the 8, chevy should cover everything labor included, I took mine to 8 diff. places before someone could tell me that something was wrong with it. Take it to a chevy dealer that does alot of diesel work they will know exactly what it is.
