This is by no way a record of flat tires, but it is for me. I had two flats within four hours Saturday I was lucky they were on the front. Foam filled is looking better every season. I am sure someone can top this. Stan

Put me in for 14 11- 22.5s simultaneouusly on one vehicle.

Raised an aluminum end dump trailer into a 14-4 3 phase overhead powerline. It blew holes in the ground under ever tire touching the ground blowing out 10 of the tires and ruining the rest.

The only ones that were saved were the fwd trailer axle that was off the ground during the dump cycle. You know your in big trouble when you're watching your mudflaps burning in the mirror!

That was one EXpensive road service call!

we descovered 3 hay racks and a disk chisel that we had in storage in a shed 5 miles from home all had there tires cut when we went to get the disk chisel to work ground. we found a broken knife handle and filed a police report but im sure that they havent done anything about it. i want to say that the 2 tires for the disk chisel were about $250 and the 3 hay racks are still over there with the flats. now we cant park equipment over there anymore. just kinda makes a guy mad what people do for no reason.

Nancy and I went to pick up "Big John" our 55 JD 70 diesel.

We took the gooseneck hay trailer that had 4 new tires.

"Big John" was too wide to fit and rode at the back end of the trailer.

Made a U-turn to look at some fence-line treasures and blew a tire.

No problem - just put on the new spare.

Drove about 10 miles and made a right turn on the Farm Market road leading home.

Blew another new tire.

No problem - just unload "Big John" and drive him home about 9 miles.

Pony motor would not start.

No problem - called the young man that sold me the tractor and he came to help get it started.

He tried and tried without any luck.

Rule #1 in the 3 Stooges Troubleshooting Guide - check the gas.

No gas in the Pony tank.

Young man was kind enough to drive me to the farm and get gas for the Pony and Nancy's 3/4 Chevy.

Still no luck starting the Pony motor; ended up pull-starting "Big John" with 3/4 Chevy.

Drove "Big John" home about 9 miles through the country.

Moral of the story - buy a three axle equipment trailer with better tires to haul tractors and equipment.

We were hauling hay one Sat. and blew a tire. Then had a hard time getting it changed in soft ground. Drove 100 yds, blew the spare. Had to unhook, left James and the hay on the side of the road, drove back to town, got a new tire and finally made it home. Next week, we put 4 new tires on the hay trailer. Flats on a loaded trailer are no fun.

Back in 74 we hauled Coke for the blast furnaces one way and what they called blast furnace fines back the other. Nasty looken matieral some of it looked like the old jacks kids played with but bigger and sharper , some how some of the fines got spread on the road way in the slag yard . Well we hauled six loads of coke up and 6 loads of fines back and had a total of 18 flats out of the twenty that were on the truck in one day, several of the other trucks had there all at once . Made the tire jocky's real happy that day. That day it did not matter how slow you drove or how hard ya looked ya could not see that stuff in the slag drive .

I have an old michigan front end loader, was cleaning the old barnyard and found a 5 tine hay fork sticking straight up in the manure, found it with three tires, this thing has 3 piece tubeless splitrims. took me 2 days to repair all three.

Back in the 80s I drove a flatbed 18 wheeler. I made a delivery to Newark Airport. When I got there a gentleman gave me directions to the docks. I made a wrong turn and ended up in National Car rental. After telling me where I went wrong, I exited where a bus had entered. There was a barrier in the road surface that folded down upon entering. It did not work that way exiting. When it was all said and done I had 11 flat tires. 5 on the tractor and 6 on the trailer. The local tire guy had a very good day. That was a tough call to make to the truck's owner.

Had a tornado here in "93". Had 13 flats on the front 2 rear, on my loader tractor the first week of cleanup. Didn't keep track after that (lots). The guy in the local tire shop treated us really well, as several of my neighbors were hit also.

oh i can, how about 4 flats in 1 afternoon on the same truck, 2 of them in the yard, and none punctured the tire? ready? it was on a '86 international paystar 5000, which had spoke wheels on it, this was a million mile ride, and on the rear drive axles, there is a steel ring between the 2 wheels which correctly spaces the wheels so they will be held by the clamps and lug nuts, when these are worn they wont hold and the engine touque will cause the wheel to slip on the rim under heavy load,[ we were loading to 60,000 on 3 axles] and it will promptly break the valve stem off the inner tube, my manager, after i advised him this POS was doing that, made his highly educated descision : he told me he didnt want to hear about it, just drive the thing its the only truck that we got today. so i followed his orders and called the mobil tire repair after each "flat" nice operation i was glad to quit that outfit

Five on one trip from Ft. Collins to northern Wyoming. A bad split rim, Blewie!!!
A heavy load, and a mushy spair that died at the tire store (17" 7.50) and from two used tires that went bad in the next 100 miles, then one more bad spare, and a purchase of serious Michelin X radials 12PR They were very much worth the price of avoiding continuing explosions. JimN
