I recently purchased a 1964 Ford 4000 tractor with a Slecto-O-Speed transmission
The pto tends to slip under heavy load such as my roto tiller Is there any adjustment to the pto Any input whould be appreciated

Wrong oil in transmission will also make the clutch packs slip.

Select-o-speeds use a hydraulic clutch for the pto. If your pto slows or stops under heavy load, the cluch is probably worn.

Cable adjustment could cause this symptom. It makes more sense to check that first than not.
