Spring is here, been sunny and dry all week

Our 7 acres worth, JD 7420 pulled a 6 bottom through here, soil is fluffed up, small field, hard to get to the end without making tracks, he'll probably disc it with the JD 4440 w/duals, and real heavy set of discs

Next field over, by our large pond, a real big operation going on here, had to smooth out a big rut from a silt fence installed by the power company, slightly worn out old ford that does not know any better than to keep running, and an old set of discs. Same tractor pulled a 2 bottom through this in 3rd gear.

This is 20 something acres worth, been idle for at least 7 years, goldenrod was so high 2 of us on atv's could not see each other, like a few years prior when we had lots of rain, that stuff grows like crazy. Corn must be doing ok, as he did not bother with this field before. I thought I'd never see this field planted again, was part of an 1100 unit condo development proposed, reduced in 1/2 now, but now they want 2 babe ruth baseball fields here, makes no sense at all. Been a favorite field since I was a kid, alfalfa used to do well in it, about a 500 yd range, we used to reach out 400 yds and nail chucks by that lonely island with a sumac in it, middle of photo. At the other end at the crest, there is another valley beyond, more rolling hills, large fields and hedgerows, you can see just about 360 deg. for 25-50 miles it's a really nice spot we border it but don't own it, was part of a big dairy operation at one time.

Good idea to mount the beer keg right on the tractor. That way you don't have to wait till you get to the end. Now why didn't I think of that.

Yes, and of course there's a small chiller plant on one side, you can't see, to keep that keg and lines cold ! That's the LP tank, this one runs on propane, it's the redheaded stepchild of hundred series Fords the way's it's set up with a 30lb forklift tank, but it does a days work when you need it too. If I could generate AC current off it, I could install a kegorator, we do live in the 30 second gratification kind of society now don't we ?

Though, mind you in my garage, which is also the basement of my home, there lurks a '78 whirlpool refrigerator, dialed in to about 33 degrees F, where I keep good quality beer, usually for the weekend if anyone stops by, or I feel like one. Not much of a drinker, but I do like a good quality beer at home. After working in the warm weather, and after drinking water all day, either for with or after dinner, I'll take a bottle and place it in the freezer on the ice blocks for 10-15 minutes, get that beer ice cold, but not frozen, have those insulated camo bottle covers and it goes on before your hand warms the bottle, then sit down and enjoy the true meaning of a cold one.
