The original subject was "Rarest of Rare Tractors??".

The rarest and most important tractor ever has to be the Black Ferguson Tractor built in 1933 in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Harry Ferguson, to show the ferguson system and the start of a line up of tractors to this day that make use of the system in some form. As for a classic rare tractor what about a 1959 MM 5 star standard diesel, only 23 buit in 59 and 188 in total.

Some fella once tried to tell me of a 20's JD 4 seater. I called him a liar to his face, but... just think of it! Anyone got a pic of that?

Seems to me that there is one tractor that was on the drawing board and the factory was tooled up but just before production it was scrapped. May be that Moline below. Also, there was a whole line of IH's scrapped in the great CaseIH merger.

I know it isn't the rarest by no means, but there apparently were only 150 333 massey's with diesels in 'em and only 50 33's with diesels.pd.

You would have to get a non-existent tractor to be rarer than this one.

This is my fairway regular. We know for sure of only three in exhistance, two with the original wheels. This one has three original wheels and one front that had to be repaired.

I'd nominate the prototype GP Wide tread Keller's bought a few years back that had the rack and pinion axles. Everbody thought it had been scrapped in the Thirties!

Used to be, if you typed Essex Tri Directional or just ETD in Google Images, you'd get hundreds of thousands of hits (and pictures). You'll still get 3 'hits', but what pictures that remain are sub-liminal. (Try it and see). The guv'mint and BIG OIL have erased all traces and deny that such a tractor ever existed. If you don't believe me, just ask any elected official (even your local sheriff) or burrocrat and watch their reaction.

How about the Olmstead made in Great Falls MT? There is only one in existence and it's owned by J.R. Simplot.

How about the Earthworm Tractor Company? They had a salesman who evidently sold lots of them, in farm country! If i remember right, it was in the thirties that i read about them.

They made a movie about it. Never saw the movie, but the star of the movie was a man name Joe E. Brown who was from this end of the county. Earworm was a fake brand. There was a story about the tractor in the HPOCA magazine some years ago. The one in the movie was a Cletrac.
