Got an appointment with a GOOD D-Lawyer tomorrow, also have been keeping notes. The stuff is adding up pretty fast,it is almost entertaining to see what stupid neglectfull thing she will do next.Thankfully the whole farm in its modest entirity is still in my parents name. She has been taking a nursing home course since Nov and will finish up in June. She claims there is lots of work for her and will be starting off at $18.00 an hour (financial independance should save me mega bucks?).All her school bills are on my farm line Visa at prime plus 1/2, and I have talked her into terming it out in her own name right away. She is also very financially neglectfull.See what the lawyer says about the whole sit tomorrow. Thanks again.pd

Had a bad first marriage. Finally decided if they were not worth living with they were not worth going to jail for.

$18 an hour? They must pay better than they do here in Michigan. That's about all that my wife made as a charge nurse in charge of an entire floor six years ago.

My thoughts on it. in reply to phillip d, 04-13-2008 03:40:22
If you can work it out before going to court. You will come out ok. Seems in court the others attorney always comes up with a surprise of wants and demants! Been there had it happen to me. Got advise to not get up out of chair and knock her butt off right then! Did not care if I went to jail if it made me happy doing it! But attorney stopped me. lol just as I grabbed the chairs arms in grip and raising up. lol Have to laugh about it now. lol Ended up married later to one of the best women around. *S Good luck

I hope all goes well, and like Dave says, do your best to work it out in the best interest of your children. Divorce is necessary sometimes, but it can be rough on kids. I know first hand.

Good luck with all of it. Just make sure the kids stay out of any "heat" that will come out of it.
