Boy sent over a press release for 5 new Deere models. Two small ones have air cooled engines, the other 3 are 70 horse power and up to 96 Horsepower have Detroit Diesel engine. Anybody know where Deere is building them?

They are a Goldini/Goldoni built to Deere specs. They are owned by an Italian sport car manufacture.
Deere has been carrying them in Europe for years.

My understanding is that Deere has purchased the rights to sell existing lines from other manufacturors. I don't know about the larger ones, but the small articuated model (20A) is actually a Lombardini. It's probably essemtially the same tractor that has been made by that company in Italy for the past 20+ years.

My son in law has a friend who works for GM in an engine plant, said John Deere has just ordered 25,000 4.3 litre V-6 gas engines. Wonder what in the world they would use them for? I thought GM had dropped that engine.

They are to be known as the F series vineyard & orchard models.

I think those engines are built in Italy. The two small tractors are using air cooled European built engines. More details later tonight. J.

J,

Do you have the model numbers on those?

Just wondering, I have been snooping around looking at the 5625 FWA model, and haven't seen anything like that around the dealer.

Rick
