You can watch the auction on the internet if you go here:

Link

I watched some yesterday and saw stuff sell High, real high and also saw some real bargains. Kinda reminded me of any other sale only bigger, really bigger. I never got a biding number so I guess that I will just be a watcher. Might try this one instead Link

Heard last night from a Buddy who ia there that real estate was cheap and sounds like parts are cheap. He has his trailer loaded full already and six days left to go!

Did he say how they were selling the iron?

I would imagine 25-35 running feet at a time?

Like Gary says, that is a lot of crap to wade thru in just 7 days.

Thanks,

Allan

I was there on Tuesday to buy a swather cab. Ring A had only 50 people and started 45 minutes late. 95% of the items sold to 8 different bidders for scrap. Got my cab around 7:30 and they still had 200 items to go. Load out was fast and free. Got home at midnight.

Scotmac keep us posted when they get to the good stuff.

Thats a lot of stuff to flood the market with at one time.

Pretty stuff for 2 or 3 slavage yard owners to buy it all. And if they buy the junk you know it will be cheap so they can make a few bucks on it.

Then there is the trucking on top of that.

Gary

If Gary went bankrupt trying to sell the stuff, and another guy went bankrupt trying to buy him out what makes everyone think all these guys are gunna buy at this sale and sell it somewhere else and get rich? In my opinion, there are a lot of hidden costs a lot of people dont see. Trucking, labor costs to load unload, sifting through what you have, interest on your tied up money, real estate to sit it all on....

I was there on Tuesday. 95% of Ring A went to scrap. They were setting up a processing plant on site. Everything I looked at was picked over. I talked to a scrapper who trucking it back to Michigan. All of the heads were going to be crushed so they could get a heavy load. Talked to another guy from Indiana who was there to get parts for a JD D. He would have to buy 3 different tractors to get the parts he needed. Another buyer was looking at some of the "complete" tractors. Most had stuck engines and the mags and carbs were not correct for the model. There is a reason all of these items were in the junk yard.
