I am guessing that Newark Valley NY is nowhere near Newark NY given the 607 area code. What county are you in?

I don't know about your specific area, but I'm in the 607 and 518 area-code in Otsego County, a mile from the Schoharie line, and 10 miles from the Delaware Co. line. We have too many tractor clubs as it is. When we get our three months of almost-good weather - there are multiple shows going on alsmost every weekend - often 3 or 4 at a time and often 25-50 miles between them all. It's getting too spread out. I miss the days when there were fewer clubs and weekends had one show at time.

Maybe your area is different? If you're around Tioga County, I admit I know nothing about it. We just happen to share area-codes.

When I read your title I thought it was some kind of tractor protest.

Do you suppose that is what got all these tractor rides and shows started was the big protest they had when everyone drove their tractor to Washington DC?

Everyone enjoyed driving their tractor and looking at everyone elses tractor that they decided to continue the rides without the protest?
