My case is gas driven and the book shows a 9 1/4 " clutch. My question is... Like today I was asked what the spline count on pto is? Wanted to know if it is an 8 count spline. But found mine is a 6 count spline. Seems like it made some kind of difference but I don't understand why?
Now they also asked me how many splines on the transmission end? Do not know this cause my tractor is not torn down plus I have to wait and have someone else do that for me.
Why these kind of questions? Also was told that a 530 case clutch and pressure plate might work?
Any help on any of this.

Checked with value and they did not show a clutch for my tractor on it. So guess I may in up at the KC clutch in Kansas City Mo.

Larry its one of those design change things that happen all the time. When I had to replace the Sherman transmission on my 841 ford I had to also switch from a fine splined clutch disk to a course splined disk. Same thing happens in cars and truck and for some reason they like to change the number of splines on the shaft just so they can charge more $$. Same thing as happened on the Case SC I have and how if the clutch pressure plate wasn't from the one with live PTO it would not work on this SC I have so thats why I had to have the machine shop to the repairs on it for me

Looks like I am going to have to wait till you get it out for me OLD. So will have you pick tractor up from me in about 7 to 8 days. So you can get it apart and see.

Larry, the day I bring it here I should be able to have the clutch pull out if I haul it here in the morning. Should take less then 2 hours to have the old girl split in half.

It may seem like a bad question, but there may be a component or supplier change that changed the clutch disk when a change was made in the other systems. I'm sure if you take your old disk in with you, they can be sure to match it up. If you have a part # that is even more likely. Good luck, JimN
