Bought one about a month ago for the back of my shop truck. Added the winch and cable for added help. Planning on using it for wheel weights and odd heavy shaped things. Had to beef up the truck box where I mounted. They claim they lift 1000 pounds but what they give you to mount is a JOKE. Just wondering if anyone else has one. Erik

If you don't have one..go get one. Recomend a taller one and tie it to the side of the box too. Winch is a real help, but hand winch is OK.
My Harbour freight one has loaded every thing from window AC to a 5 foot 3-point disk.

I have one, but it's on my wood splitter for lifting large blocks off the ground and onto the splitter. I put a 12 volt winch on, and run that from a deep cycle battery.

Must be a southern truck in the upper mid west the hoist plate would pull out of older trucks. Looks good I know a guy who is looking for one for his wife?

Wouldn't it be easier to use a ramp or just put her on a diet?

I've had one of those on the bed of my truck for years. I broke it one time trying to pick up a brush hog but have since reworked it and haven't broke it since. I also add the boat type winch to it but I prefer the mount I set up. Plus the winch I hooked up is a 3 spped thats good for around 2000 lbs which is twice as much as the other part will handle

First time I ever saw anything like that was in the early 60's out in Arizona. They were very similar to yours and worked real good.

I have had a taller version of that for many years, works good. And yes, you need a good sized mounting plate or sooner or later you will rip your truck box. What is shown in the picture should be sufficient.
