Hang on here, you said clutch in or out. Check the harmonic balancer (engine front pulley) The crank is slightly tapered on those,so if that big bolt is loose, she'll wobble like a knob on an outhouse door.

Take off the chain coupler at rear of hydra-power or over/under(depending which you have)and see what it's like.

Start there and let us know.Heck, you might even find that the chain coupler is shot,or the gears are out of align.~brad

Yup,the chain went to crap on my 1550 last summer while I was raking hay. The thing shook so bad,it shook a big leak in the radiator.

check some easy cheap stuff before goin in to deep. 2 tings that happened to me on different tractors were, front engine mounting bolts had worked loose. the other was a missaligned hydra-power to trans imput gear. the chain still fit, but turning the hieght ajustment bolt under -neath cured the problem.

Be more specific. The sheet metal vibrates, the clutch vibrates, the engine vibrates, what specific part or piece is vibrating----craftsman
