well i live in elgin, sc and if any of you have watched the news you found out our little town was hurt pretty bad by a tornado along with well i dont know what other towns were hurt. but my house is fine and none of my neighbors were hurt. The only loss in the subdivision was a dog and my truck but everybody is fine. I feel really lucky that this was not worse. The only house that was mostly flattened was a 200 year old house that my friend lives in but he is currently in iraq and his wife was home with her four kids and they were in the basement and none of them were hurt. i am not sure why i posted this i think just to tell everybody that most everyone is safe here. and a tornado is not a laughing matter it has hurt many small business's but any way just wanted to tell someone.

Hey Jlmtractor,

That's too close to home. I'm 20 miles west of Charlotte and have traveled thru your town many times hauling soybeans to the mill in Kershaw. GLAD no one was hurt.

I went right thru the middle of an F3 borderline F4 in 2001 we lost three people but it could have been much worse, you will be amazed when you see the outpouring of help that will show up. our little town of 1000 was basically destroyed as it went right thru the middle of town, and now 7 years later it is right back to being the bustling little tourist town it was before. Count your blessings, help your neighbors and life will return to normal very soon. My thought are with you.

Thank the Lord that no one was seriously hurt. Material possesions can be replaced, loved ones can't be replaced. Will keep your community in my prayers. Chris
