been leafing thru the lastest garden seed catalogs, fields, gurney, schumways,ect and notices that rhubarb plants are not available in NV, UT, WA, and okra is not available in california, shallots,onion sets and garlic bulbs are not available in idaho. seems kinda odd, anybody know why?

Western Idaho raises onions, and garlic on a large scale and they want to prevent the introduction of unwanted pests and diseases from out of state through imported seed sets.

Sure do. Those are the states where Case/IH just realeased the 2009 Farmall HD, and there is a opening market there for metric pliers and gasket bearings. These things combined with a shortage of postholes and flight line have fludded the imports to these states from other states, and nobody will haul seeds there because there is more money in tractors and hammers. Simple :-)
