Those of you saying this is price is due to decreased supply and increasing demand, look here to see what one man in India wanted to do. If we got rid of our day traders, I bet we could get prices down. This article spells it out just like it is here. Pure speculation and inflated prices, and fake demand increases and supply cuts.

Not so much gouging as another bubble. Farm land bubble, tech bubble, housing bubble, now oil bubble. Kinda bubbly around here. Seriously, it is a limited comodity and we're sucking it up like addicts.
