Possible buyers are sometimes reluctant to make offers--my own experience, in my old-paper etc collecting days, was that I got much better response if I put on a price, and added "open to offers', or "or best offer" (although I tried to avoid that one; I sometimes didn't want to sell for the "best offer"!) "Would like X $$, make an offer, or open to offer, even did better than just "make offer".
Good luck.

Don't count on it. It's an election year. The boys always used to practically have to close the shop in October of an election year. Everybody on both sides becomes convinced that it will be the end of the world if their candidate looses,so they stop spending money. Things take off big time in November when at least half of them get their way.

i dont know exactly what you do, but dealerships around here are going crazy selling everything they can get their hands on. My son works at the local JD dealer and has been working overtime, getting planters ready since before Christmas.

I work for a JD dealer in SE Minnesota. We have some decent activity in sales, but alot of the trouble is that stuff is being sold as-is, so the shop dont get the work thru it. We got a fair amount of new planter sales, but they arent coming in yet. Oh well, tomorrow is Friday:)

With grain prices at record levels, that is one bright spot in the economy. But since agriculture employs only 1 or 2% of the workforce, it doesn't do much for most of us. Enjoy it, brother, it's been a long time coming! Kinda a "every dog has his day" thing.
