Or at least I think there VACs. Traded 3 junk cars for 2 of them. Tires are bad but rims look to be good and each has a few parts missing. I might be able to take the 2 of them and make one good one. Any idea of what size the rear tires are on them. I couldn't read the size from the tires it has on them.
Thanks

Most of them had 10 x 28s but you could get them with 9 or 10 x 34, 9 or 11 x 36 and 11 x28.

I've hauled in alot of hay with an old vac case, had a little gas pedal to help her up the hills,i think it still runs to this day, pretty sure they had 28 inch tires.

Its nice when you can trade some junk cars for tractors isn't it? Congrats on the new Case tractors.

Hey Old,

My two old junk VAC's have 5.00x15 on the front and 11.2x 28 on the rears. One of them is a 49 model and there is not much left of the other one to tell what year it is. It turned out to be the parts tractor. If you need some parts, let me know. HTH

One thing I may need is a starter. Both of these are missing the starters. Both are also locked up so I'll have to see if I can pop the better one free before I start looking much for parts. Guess I'll be buy some more ATF soon LOL

Now Old,
You gotta get with the program here.
If you had drained the ATF out of the junk cars before you sold them you wouldn't have to buy none for the tractors.
Grin...

Ya but doing that isn't easy so I'll just buy some. Plus these cars have been sitting for years so they probably have water in with it and that would not help any LOL

Serial numbers on them are 5062671 and 5062694. So if I read it right that makes them both 1946 years, odd how the serial number is just 23 away from each other.

Old, you can just measure the rims, but I seem to recall that VACs used 36 inch tires, probably equivalent to the old 11-36.

When I went and got the serial numbers I also looked closer at the tires and found at least one of them has 9X38s on it.

More likely 9.00X28. They also used 32 and 34 inch tires on the rear. 32's are favored and 34's are rare for this tractor. My VC's both have 32's on them... Gene

Come to think about it they did seem a little small for 38s so you maybe correct and I'll have to look at them again. I sort of hope so since 38s are hard to find but 28s are easy to find at least in my area that is
