HELP!

I am a city girl marrying a country boy....we want to celebrate the farm aspect of our lives...so we are looking for someone who would allow us to drive their tractor for 1 and 1/2 miles from the church to the reception site in DeKalb, Illinois. The reason we can"t use our own is because we are getting married in Illinois, but our tractors are three hours away in Wisconsin. Will pay $100

Hey! Let's not start a color war here..... . The girl really wants a tractor for her wedding. I certainly hope some one can step up and make her wedding a memorable day. I don't care what color the tractor is, I'm in her corner. PLEASE SOMEONE!

Well, technically speaking, there were some Olivers that got repainted red and called a few other things, but since this is supposed to be a happy occasion...CONGRATULATIONS to the bride and groom to be!!!

Myself, I'd have to trailer in from closer to Ohio, and mine aren't the preferred color for this wonderous occasion either. Guess I'll just have to sit out in the barn and wonder why it is that nobody loves me, except my dog.

Sorry we aren't closer, if we were, we'd help out. Be assured, you're not the first - Son got married this September. We used the '49 JD B he restored as a senior project in high school. Tractor origionally belonged to his great uncle. Pulled a haywagon made from a 1930's truck chasis, and belonged to his grandfather. Whole wedding party rode from wedding to reception on wagon. Was a real fun time, and a way to recognize the family who had gone on before. I'm sure Grandpa and Uncle Paul were up there doin' high 5's and saying "Yeah!" Was the talk of the town for a while! Do it, the memories will be worth it!

I love it! Thank you much for sharing that story. It sounds like the wedding was so meaningful. I have decided to print off these stories and make them part of the reception...placing them on the tables...

If you used a JD you'd have so much oil and soot on you that the pictures wouldn't look very good. That is if the thing ever made it there.

They don't want your JD, at least until you fix the oil leaks and the "soot" problems.

Be nice, It's alright with me if you would rather a "case I itch" or an "Oil-allover"

Yeah, I was just kidding with you. I hope she finds a nice ride and I'm sure people here will help her if they can.
