Where can I buy rubber tread to put over steel wheels. I am buying a mccormick 10-20 and would like to keep the steel but yet run it down the road. Thanks in advance.

old tractor tires work good. Use a SawZall to cut the sidewall away from the tread.

Old baler belts or leg belting with the flat head leg bolts work very well, also. If you have any dirt track racers near by, they always have a bunch of tires with decent tread to cut up.

just find a company that retreads truck tires ,you can buy tread from them ,and if your lucky they may make you a deal on end pieces and scraps

Ditto what walt said. hit up a dump on amnesty day.. or a tire place.. load up as many free tires as ya want.. cut the side walls out and then use plow bolts or even rivits in the tread grooves to hold the rubber on.

A lot of people just make them from old truck tires Cut the tread off and bolt it onto the rim with the spikes removed.

Miller Tire used to sell treads and fasteners for that purpose
