Well, had another fantastic week with my girlfriend. Ya know what? I'm moving to Minnesota in Mid-April : ) She met my parents and they really like her ("daughter-in-law material" says mom), and they're very supportive of me moving...actually they weren't surprised at all. Still haven't told my boss(yikes), and only talked to a handful of my friends so far, but it's for real! It's happening! I'm purdy excited if ya can't tell! By popular demand, I'm posting a picture of her an I along with this. The background is an IH 584D at work. Had to get a tractor in there for you guys. Thank you for all the encouragement and advice so far. Have a wonderful day...I know I will!

She isn't quite as tall as me, I'm 5'10" and she's 5'5". I had that IH truck running on saturday. Wasn't firing on all 8, but it was good enough to get the battery charged and some fresh gas and Sta-Bil run through it.

PS: You just west of Bemidji??? Cool. We're up there the end of August, for the National RallyAmerica road rally up there, you'll see a lot of sports cars with roll cages & painted up for a weekend. She mighta noticed in the past, about every 3rd year we drive out to Bagley for setup sabout 30 miles south on 92.

Congratulations to both of you. I have been a frequent visitor to Minnesota and have found the women there to be some of the finest anywhere. Considered moving there when I retired, but found my place here. Still looking for a nice Norwegian woman. Lady there promised to introduce me to a nice Norwegian, but alas, she died before she could do it.
I have many friends in the Lake Minnewaska area and plan to visit again over the 4th of July for a fly-in campout... Gene

Six sisters! With that many girls in the family your possible future FIL must oiling his shotgun.

My wife has six sisters too. She's the oldest of them all and was the first to marry. After that the FIL learned how to be a quicker shot.

in-too-deep, I have got a few words of wisedom. No matter what the circumstances are... Looks and sounds like you got a keeper on your lady. On the chain saw, look at a Dolmar, still a German made saw, well built, good price, if you want the truth on any saw, go to an arborist site, thry use saws every day, and them people know quality. Good luck with your new ventures.

Well, for what it is worth, if you're buying one I'd suggest at least looking at a Husqvarna. They make cutting wood almost fun! I have three and they are rippen machines.

Well she definatly passes the looks test, and shes not even dolled up. Hopefully we could meet ya all some time as your passing near central MN, or when were heading up to northern MN during cabin week. I respect you two for proceeding as you are. These days most younger folks are living together and dont meet the folks till they have to tell them their gonna be grandparents. My ma and pa got married after 2 months of dating and have been married for 41 years.

Yessir, we'll definitely get together sometime. She wants to come back down to Illinois after 1st cutting, and I want to take her to the Red Power Roundup in Le Sueur, and possibly the big bluegrass festival. I forget the town, but it's near you. As I said earlier, I'll probably be going up again in mid-march...should be able to swing in then.

Mom says she's daughter in law material huh? I remember back when I was single. I met a girl,most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. We had a great time together. I took her home to meet the parents. Mom ran her off. I was heartbroke. Eventually I met another girl,even more beautiful than the first. Didn't think it was possible,but she was more fun than the first one. I took her home,Mom ran her off too. Then I met a girl,she was OK,kind of reminded me of my mother. I took her home. Mom fell in love with her. Said she reminded her of herself when she was that age. Said nothing would make her happier than to see me marry this girl..... Dad ran her off! Congrats. She seems like a keeper.
