A sucker for the OT threads are ya?? :-)

I cant wait for spring, but even yet, SUMMER!!! I cant wait to spend hours mowing and cultivating, with hot nights and warm, wet weather. I love it!! It'll be 50 on tuesday, so i get to finish priming Nancy (tractor).

I just got home from spending 12-1/2 hours plowing snow in constant white out conditions..I could barely see mailboxes as I passed them at 10 miles per hour..'Bout the only thing I got a good look at today was the backside of the chrome bulldog on the hood of my truck..Yeah , I'll take spring any old time.....

I'm still trying to figure out how that 1/2" of snow yesterday am gave me 4' drifts all along my driveway, and hard as a rock.

I'm sooooo thrilled....

(www.wane.com) LaGrange County- Blizzard like conditions are now moving into extreme northern Indiana. According to Master Trooper Jim Sheffield, "There is no visibility north of US 20 in LaGrange county." The blowing wind has picked up surface snow and has made it nearly impossible to drive not to mention the dangerously low wind chills." "I recommend no one travel through this area until the wind lets up and visibility improves," Sheffield went on to say.

Wind-chill ranged from -15 to-25 below zero, depending on the wind velocity. This makes it extremely hazardous to be outside and have exposed skin which can freeze in a matter of minutes.

I don't mind the cold, I'd just like some snow so I can take the kids sledding. I really like snow, the dead brown landscape is depressing to me.

Kick back and enjoy those long winter nights with someone to keep you warm. August will be here before you can get all those winter clothes put away. When its 100 degrees and 98% humidity you can't legally take off enough clothes to stay cool. Be careful what you wish for

Mid to upper 70's here.

I went to the grocery store this evening and saw my first of the Spring Diasy Dukes. I also saw the first hint of Spring when she bent over to load the groceries.

Quince are a blooming and the shorts are comming out of storage. I love Spring!

Man i feel for you guys. It was a verrrrr ry nice 80* here today. Ive worn a tee shirt out for the last 3 days, havnt had any heat on for almost a week. The red maples are blooming in the swamp and daffodils are blooming in the yard. We will still have a freeze or maybe a few before its over but this weekend was wonderful.

Randy S about 120 miles from the beautiful gulf coast of Mississippi.

Me ! i went out to water my cows when i came back in looked at thermometer i think it broke or froze! got up to -6 at noon is now 4 pm it seems to have stuck there. glad i didn't have to start any tractors to fill bale feeders today. i got stuck with skid loader yesterday putting hay out. at least then the snow hadn't froze so it was easier to dig.

High temp was 7F today, and wind at about 25-30mph. Good day to stay inside and do paperwork. Still only the middle of Feb, and at least six weeks to go here. Maybe warmer by mid-week.

I`m in S.E. Indiana and have seen a few skunks out so that`s a good sign . From the looks of things around here at YT if spring dont hit before long it`s going to self distruct . Lots of nastyness on all the boards and theres no need for it .

-40 or worse windchills here in Manitoba last night. Spring is only 8 or 10 weeks away, but I guess it will get better before it gets much worse.

Well, a bunch of guys decided to have a beer party/congratulation s for a friend who just got married!
] Rented the local fire hall, invited many folks, hired a bluegrass band, brought food, etc, we saw how fat all the old folks got, and learned all the babies names, and just enjoyed the party! Best way i know to beat the winter chill! Everybody must have enjoyed the party. The beer coolers made 2 rows along one wall, the tables groaned with home cooked foods, desserts were out of this world, and they filled 2 large garbage cans with empty beer cans! We had a slight warming trend last few days, and now its COLD! The wind would fair blow yer wig off, i re-installed my thermal underwear, furnaces running overtime, and we've settled down to wait fer spring! All this 50 miles from Pittsburgh! In farm country!
