I've got a ditch witch 3500. when i engage the trencher it spins, no problem. when i lower it into the ground it bogs down to a stop. you really have to baby it to keep it digging. everything runs off hydralics, (steering, front blade etc.) and works just fine. just the trencher bogs. Any ideas? thanks Ray

When it bogs down does everything else still work? Does it have a single pump or a tandem (multiplace) pump? What determins which oil from the pump goes to the trencher and what goes to the other functions? Do you have a hydraulic schematic of the machine.

Yup!, pump, or motor doing ok until greater
force, or work is called for, then, under heavy
load, the fluid squirts through the clearances,
from wear, instead of creating the force,or push,
required to give power. Does it have a Char-Lynn
motor on the drive? It says right in the catalog
that the average life of an H, S, or 2000 series
is 2000 hours.
