Please Where is the serial number located on a MF 175 tractor?

Thankyou, however the battery cover is still on the tractor, but there is no model or serial numbers. would they be painted or stamped on, as it has been repainted

I think there was a riveted on plate. It may have been painted over,or fallen off. Look at the back side of the cover, maybe that wasn't repainted, and you can see if the rivets or the holes are there.

This is probably not what you wanted to hear.It is on the removable battery cover that attaches to the bottom of the dashboard, where ever that is. If it is anything like my tractor, the cover is under a pile of junk in the back corner of somebody's barn somewhere. There is also an engine serial number stamped on the top right (I think) corner of the engine block.
