Over that last 50 or so years that I except as the way it is and always will be (but)

When getting ready to go out, you let the little woman get her shower before you start getting ready. You get showered and spend extra to keep from getting bad comments and still are ready a half an hour before her. Just as you walk out the door the little woman says go a head I gotta pee. A long one at that you think as you set in the car. Now as soon as you start to move the car out comes the lipstick and you hear can you hit anymore bumps. 50 /60 miles later you pull up in a parking space and she says would you reach in the back and get that pair of shoes. The shoes get changed and you both start to get out of the car and all of a sudden the purse has to be switched to a different size or color or something.
Not that this is a rant or anything or that I some how want anything to change. Just my wondering. What else is there to do when it is this foggy.

WOW,did you ever marry the wrong woman! My wife didn't even have shoes til I brought her up out of the holler. They were so far back they had to pump in sunshine. The sun sat between there and town!

No Sir: I sure didn't marry the wrong woman. This was an observation over many years of several women that I find amusing. My mother and aunts having the same traits. I never said they were bad traits, just amusing.

Well BINGO! to all of what you said!

In our family, after arriving at the desination, we (the kids and I), have always referred to Mrs. Dave 2N's exit from the vehicle as "The Five Minute Get-Out." We have NEVER been able to figure out what it is she does that takes so long prior to opening the door and simply alighting. I guess it's a woman-thing.

Well fellas, I don't know how to say this without being a heel but 13 years ago I came home to what I thought was a very comfortable life style and found my wife of over 20 years had passed away at 47 years old and you can't imagine how I've thought everyday of some of the things that irritated me and I would give anything to have that back and when my present wife does things that irritate me I just take a deep breath and bite my tongue. I didn't say this to make you feel bad but I hope it is a wakeup call as I wish someone had done it to me before she also left two wonderful sons who have been my strength through all this. Sorry guys I'm doing OK now and have changed my ways.

I was married 37 years when I lost my wife in 1994. I married Dixie in 2002 and the things that ruffled the edges before makes me grin now.
I am glad you are doing Ok now.

I must be missing something. Wouldn't your problem be solved if you just left without her?

try this and report back.

I am not unhappy and sure would not want to not have her with me. Just an observation I didn't seem to have any other thing to think about. My late wife was like that also. I find it kinda amusing.

Nope, Nope. I am just old and have made the mistakes enough times that after a while a few things stick. Like how many times do you burn your fingers on red hot steel before you figure out it is hot.

Spills like that comes with the territory. What did it look like under the pan?

it looked like there was some red or orange paint under there, wasnt rust. The oil there was thick and block, but there was ice in there.

Looked up under the pistons, and saw theres just a little rust in there. Is this good or bad??

That is what has it stuck but if you can't see pits on top or under the pistons you still have hope. I have only had one stuck engine that I saved the sleeves on. They will pit on top of each ring if the moisture has been there long enough. If you can get the pistons to move in a short time you will be able to see if it is pitted beside the pistons.

Theres no pitting on either side. All there is is some very light rust on there. I think i'll be allright, it doesnt look that bad. All im waiting for is the ATF to work

Time does not stand still. You can't go back only forward. Time to thank her for making your breakfast and get on with what you have had many years. Going to bed mad at your wife can lead to some very cold and lonely nights in the future.

Making up is always a good reason for a little spat. Practicing making up without the spat is even better.
