From your video, do you know if the John Deere 730 was owned by a Carl Stanley? I posted a link to your video on Allis Chalmers forum and someone that bought a tractor from Carl was wondering if it happened to be the one in the video.

Thanks,

joe

Yes that is Carl Stanley and his 730JD. I exchanged messages with Mr. Zook. Carl was my grandfather and I sure wish I knew where that tractor was today. Mr. Zook told me where it went when they sold it but that was in 1966. bill

Bill, that 3rd picture from the top with the road on the right. Would that house be Lyle Oldfield"s? Sure looks familiar.

Pete

Bill, my son talked to Mr. Plumer today about that great plowing video you posted earlier. He said they did 142 acres with 43 tractors in 47 minutes! Thought you would like to know that.

I have heard those guys talk about it and tell how quick they did it. My great grandfather went up to that farm the day before and laid the lands out. The always said he did the most plowing because when it came time the next day to plow there were so many people there they each only had to make a few passes and were done. bill

Since I only have a few acres to plant for food plots, my planting pictures would look a lot different. Remember those old pictures of Johnny Appleseed, with his sack of seed slung over his shoulder? That would be me, except with one of those Whirley-bird broadcast seeders draped around me. Feel free to drop by central Virginia and help with my spring planting - with a rig like that, it shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes

Makes me itchy to get out there in the dirt, but it"s 2 /12 months away. Looks like you were putting it in good moisture. Thanks for the pics. Jim
