Can anyone direct me where to find parts for a dearborn model 1415 sickle bar mower? The pitman bar(one with the ball on the end)broke and I can't find a replacement. Thanks a bunch.

To the responders, that mower does not and never used a wood pitman, they were forged steel all the way. And Ford dealers have no idea they were ever made, no parts listings for them at all. the only way for repair is a good welding shop.

Measure it or bring it with you to either a New Holland dealer or TSC . I got one last year at TSC for my dearborn mower, it is the long (46")pitman.Lucky me , it was the only one they had in stock !! They can order one if they dont have it in stock. Or as mentioned find a nice piece of hardwood and make one.

Just the wooden pitman broke? You should be able to get a universal pitman at TSC and then you would have to drill the holes and cut it down to size. Or you could just make your own.
