I was wondering how often you change your fuel filters on your diesel pickups? It doesnt say in the owners manual and everyone I talked to doesnt know.

24 valve cummins, every fall before cold weather hits, 20,000 miles per year.

I have a "99 7.3 Powerstroke and I usually change them every 15K miles but I once went about 30K after having a senior moment. I have never found them dirty or water contaminated but I think it"s wise to change them at the recommended intervals.

When the computer tells me to. Usually it's around 12,000 miles, weekend towing, highway during the week.

I run my "99 Powerstroke 2 years - about 16,000 miles - between fuel filter changes. But I also drain water trap every few weeks. And I keep a couple fresh filters in the truck"s toolbox "just in case".

On our 6.5 I go about 10,000 and on our 7.3 PS I go about 15,000 miles. Important to drain off accumulated water every month or so and also on the 6.5 I bleed any air off at the same time.

i have a 06 duramax i change mine at every other oil change between 80000/10000 miles.i think the book says 15000. i know im most likely changing it way early but my thinking is i should never be setting along the road with a plugged filter. it only cost about $18.00 so i change it. i commute 75 miles one way to work mostly all interstate and some rush hour traffic in a big city thats the main reason i change mine a little early.a (a little cheap insurance i think)

I have a 2005 Ford 6.0, the fuel filters are supposed to be changed every 15,000 miles.
