I was looking at a diagram of a 12 volt system with alternator last night that shows a wire going from the selnoid/relay to a point between the resister and coil. There was the usual wire from the key switch to the resister which feeds the coil so what is the purpose of the other wire from the relay to the resister?

thanks Allan. I've never put a line there but always seemed to work fine starting without it. Maybe I'll try it to see what I'm missing.

That feeds a full 12 volts to the coil during cranking. Makes for easier starting.
