I don't say anything when my wife wants another toy (embrodrey and sewing machines). She paid over $7k for one and the computer to run it. She doesn't say anything when I want another tractor or piece of equipment.

My wife about flipped out when I bought a Hesston Self propelled windrower (field ready) for $600! I've been told the motor alone (Wisconsin) is worth that. She kept bugging me to get a second poodle (I HATE those dogs!), but I finally agreed, but I get a tractor to be named later. Nice thing is she has no idea how much I have in model trains.

Was looking for a good backhoe. Spent many weeks and trips looking at used. Wife said if you are going to get one buy a new one. I did, she's happy, i'm happy.

It's great to have a supportive spouse.

But then again we were going to start building a new house, and needed one to use--not work on. Moved in a year ago in Oct. Still using backhoe and will keep it for the rest of my life.

My wife doesn't have any idea how many tractors I have, and could care less. She never says anything when I bring home another, or about the parts I buy, I guess it's because I bring in some income fron the tractors. now when I want to spend some money on my motorcycles it's another story. Stan

My first wife was a stay at home mom. She also wanted total control of the money I earned and she wanted total control of me.

My second wife encourages me to buy more tractors, I am thinking that 9 is enough but you never know.

I guess I solved that problem!

Mine has told me that once I get the house paid off, I can go buy a plane. Dad had a Cessna 170A when I was 5, I want a 172 with retractable gear. She tells me thats fine to go with my other toys. Dad says he would put in a strip on the farm for me too. Having the wife on board is really nice, but the rest of the family is better.

Friends bought a farm that came with an 8N. They were going to keep it, but interest waned and mentioned it was for sale. I told them how much it was worth and how much I could give for it. I also mentioned that I would be willing to help get it ready for sale. They said okay to my offer and the wife who had been standing nearby fell over with a gasp. Wait til she figures out that I am going to pick up that truck, too!

Put heat in that doghouse for a reason!

My wife bought me a use one for a christmas gift. I was surprised for sure. Said she wanted to do something special for me and it was. $6000.00 surprise. She told me to go with her and lets look at some tractors. So getting out of the house a bit I am thinking. ... Then she said which one of them you like the best? I said .. well one has a real good loader with teeth on it and it's diesel and 4x4... She said ok get it!.. I looked at her and said.. you kidding me? .. was no joke. Got it outside right now. .. I am still surprise she did that. That money was her's.
