Has anyone noticed the AG stocks (share prices) of companies like Monsanto, Mosaic, CF Industries, Potash of Saskatchewan, and so on reaching extremely high levels. I guess its due to the good crop prices and demand for fertilizer and other Ag services. How do rich farmers determine what to invest in? I humbly admit that I do not fall into that group.

the man that rents my crop ground was telling me input costs are going thru the roof. even with the higher prices of corn and beans he thinks he will have about the same dollars at end of the year.

It's not the rich farmers who are the big investors. It's the Wall Street people and traders. The market is making them rich by the demand and the farmers efforts.

I think most of the higher crop prices will end up in the coffers of Monsanto, Bayer and especially, big oil. That's the way our system works.
