Maybe not really OT but-- My shop here at home wont slide snow, metal roof. Metal roof at farm is like a snow slide. Same pitch. I went out today to blow the snow away from the walls as it was building up. Dont remember brands. Anyone know which slides best? Thanks, Bob

My recollection from my youth is that the cure for a build-up of snow on the roof is to go stand under the eaves, and look upward. Works especially well if there are icicles. "But seriously, folks"- is there any difference with what's going on inside the buildings, between the two? If the roof at the farm is a barn with livestock breathing inside, that's the difference. If its below freezing both inside and outside a building (like an unheated shop), hard to get snow to slide.
