I stayed up till midnight, but that was it. I was like, ok, the new year is here, the world did not come to an end or anything, I am going to bed :-)

I stayed up till 2 am just to listen to the scanner. We had snow here and they started rolling cars and ditching them around 10 pm but the fun started around 1 am when half of the poeple in the bars came to the conclusion that the hated the other half of the people in the bar and all hell broke loose. One call said that a guy got hit in the head with a board with nails in it. A bar had over 40 people fighting each other, some inside and some out. A friend has a bar and he had a bottle throwen at him. I could go on but I need another coffee. I think the best place to be on New years is at home. Larry

Already have. All day long have been hearing about how they rang in the New Year from like Japan to England so far, and will in a few hours in NY too, with some new power efficient ball to drop in times square. Whew!!! With all of the celebrating going on working its way to me...I'll probably sleep through mine, until the shotguns going off wake me and the dogs up.

My momma told me long ago that I should go to bed at least once every day. Since I haven't gone to bed yet today, I guess I'll have to do so before midnight.

Well,I checked the guide on Direct TV and I don't think so. Last year I did for the first time since 2000. There was a special on with Rhonda Vincent,Robin and Linda Williams,Quick Silver,lots of bluegrass. Nothing like that this year,so to heck with it. I need my beauty sleep.

Yeah whats up with that!, I got DirecTV and there is no new years specials this year!. For years Disney and MTV have had specials and I always enjoyed watching MTV live in Times Square and got to see the ball drop that way. I had noticed in the last couple of years they were getting way shorter, but to have completely nothing is a big shock and a major disappoinment!.

The wife just sent my son and daughter in law out for a bottle of Jack and some coca cola. Guess I will get my once a year drink in tonight so midnight is most likely out of the question.
