Spelled several words wrong .. but no correction of them showed. Even after hitting preview. Nothing.. must be a program you have on your computer.

Larry, if getting them words spelled correctly eveytime is of the upmost importance, and if your computer has Microsoft Word, you could minimize whatever websight you're at, go into Word, compose a response, then copy and paste it to whatever websight you're responding to. Word doesn't necessarily correct grammer though, but does often hint at incorrect grammer. Just a thought. Sometimes correct spelling can be of a deal breaker, and sometimes not. It depends on the situation and whom you're dealing with.

Spelling is what got me good grades in english, if it wasn't for that I would probably still be in school as I certainly couldn't understand why I had to know a verb from a noun or that other stuff. I have seen a lot of mispelling on here but I don't care. I know most of the people know a lot more about fixing tractors than I do on here and that is what I come to this forum for. If I went to a English using forum then I would expect to see very little mispelling. My brother in law is a very poor speller how ever he is good at remodeling and other things so every one is not perfect in all lines of life. Now days since I have been out of school 40+ years I have a dictionary on the desk as I have to look up something now to see how it is spelled. I have been told that is caused by old age or Alzhimers.
I can't remember which one is bothering me at the present time. Just keep letting everyone know how to fix the tractors. Richard

If you have a Google tool bar, there is a spell check on that also.

Happy New Year!

Larry after looking a bit more etc. I think why my system checks spelling is because I use the fox fire or fire fox system to go to the web and its probably has the spell check thing built in to it

My version of Internet Explorer has a spell check button (I believe this is the latest update) about mid way across the top of the tool bar. Just before you are ready to preview your reply just hit the ABC Check button. Always show me the misspelled words and gives correct spelling.

I use Mozilla Firefox and it has the built in spell checker. Kind of embarrassed how bad I spell. Sometimes it can't even figure out what I am trying to say. You still have to be careful. My wife wrote in our Christmas letter that we rode the fairy to the island last summer.

Most be, can't say for sure. I know when I spell one wrong I get a red line under the word. It doesn't tell me how to spell the word just has a red line under it so I know I did something wrong

Old, red line underneath a word spelled incorrectly sounds like "Microsoft Word", a software program made for just that. If it also has green lines as well, I'd say that's what it is for sure...the green lines indicate either incorrect grammer, fragmented or improperly formed sentences, or such. One thing about Word though, it doesn't catch the wrong correctly spelled word. For example, "there", "their", and "they're"...all spelled correctly, all have different meanings, Word won't catch using one incorrectly in place of another, generally.

Here, I could care less if you or anyone else spells a word incorrectly so long long as you don't care if my spelling stinks, and so does my grammer. If you, I, or anyone else are doing it for business though...Word can be very handy, but not perfect.

Its just at time I and others have trouble with spelling. My system puts a red line under words that are miss spelled so it help a good bit if you can then figure out how to spell it right which about 50% of the time I can't LOL

If you right click on the red underlined word you will get a list of possible correct spellings.

Unless you're me. Then sometimes I so butcher the words that it comes back with "No Suggestions". Right clicking on the green underscore will somtimes come back with a better order of the same words, in a better formed sentence...unless you're me, then I sometimes so butcher a sentence that it comes back with, "Fragmented Sentence", "Grammer", "Order Of Words - no suggestions", and sometimes it comes back and says "Mark you are an idiot - give up", and then my computer shuts down and I have to reload the OS and programs...after replacing the smoking hard drive. I can be the worst at times.
