I remember seeing a rear 3 point bucket scooper before-maybe on this site or on a manf. website. Have any of you guys seen one of these?
I dont remember if you would drive the tractor forward or in reverse to scoop up dirt or material and then lift the 3 pt. up and dump the load.

I had a friend dig a i.5acre pond with 8n&bucket! Took over a year, but it kept him out of the poolroom.

A company called CADPlans has a set of plans available on their website for a 3-point bucket, among MANY other interesting devices. Worth a look, IMHO. They're plans only, mind you, but if you're handy with a MIG and a bandsaw, it might be an option...

yeah they are available, several manufacturers make them. Most common ones I see are King Kutter. You can hook them up to load in forward or reverse. I have an older dearborn one that I got at a yard sale for almost nuthin and it works really good for hauling stuff around. I dont have a front end loader, so I use the scoop instead.

Available at most TSC and other similar stores. Nice for use for hand picking rocks. Drop the bucket and roll the rocks on, take them over to the edge of field and dump! I also used one to transport gravel from pit at back of farm to driveways at front of farm. Was awfully slow, because of road time, (1/2mile) and small capacity of bucket. Also limited in scraping dirt up off the ground, as tractor ends up straddling the pickup zone, and narrowness of bucket, along with limited depth range of 3pt hitch. They do work well within their limitations however.

I've got an old Dearborn as well.
It may be slow, but beats the HECK out of a shovel!
