Does anyone know of a listing showing in which country "American" farm tractors, such as Ford. Deere, Case, Caterpillar, etc., are manufactured and if available, since when, even if approximately? Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays to all. Angelo

All I know is,a recent article in Oliver Heritage Magazine said there are only 6 manufactures of tractors in the world. Don't recollect off the top of my head how many brands that makes up though.Just that it includes all of them.

deere large frame 7000,8000,9000 are assembled in waterloo iowa. so are some of the 8.1, 9.0, 12.5, 13.5 engines. so are the transmissions, mfwd, and a lot of other components. a lot of the castings for these tractors are cast in waterloo. combines in moline illinois. a lot of the tillage equipment and sprayers and cotton pickers are assembled in des moines iowa. forage and hay equipment are assembled in ottumwa iowa i believe. some construction and smaller engines are made in dubuque iowa. and a lot of smaller stuff is also made here in the us

Basically.... all tractors today are assembled from components sourced throughout the world. The final point of assembly varies, however, the compact models are now mostly assembled in the US or Japan from mostly Japanese components. The mid size utility tractors (basically up to 150 hp) are assembled mostly in the UK or western Europe and the row crops are assembled in the US from global component sourcing.
The large FWD's are assembled in the US also. Again, this is from global component sourcing.

Part of your question is easy, since you say "are manufactured". That leaves Ford out of it, since there ain't no such thing now manufactured. If you go to New Holland web site you can see that each "series" is made in a different country, just about everywhere except USA. I haven't been to other sites such as MF, Deere, CaseIH but imagine they are also built all over. Tom

I saw something this past week in Farm Journal, had a big old chart of stuff. It doesnt list much historical production but does list current year.

I'll look for it when I go out tonight, think its in the car.
