Can anyone tell me the date of manufacture of my Kubota L245DT? It has the serial number L245DT-12275.
I wrote to Kubota UK but they replied saying that they didn't have the date of manufacture on record.
I want to register the tractor for road used and would like an age related registration mark.
Thanks.

I'd rather date women than tractors. Dinner and a movie?

Ah.... the vagaries of language across the Atlantic - made me chuckle. Poor choice of words - won"t do that again. Thanks anyway.

If the manufacturer doesn't have a record of date of manufacture, I'd say to pick something close and go with it, How are they gonna check, No records? Chris

I wouldn't want to date a Kubota. Figure if it kept me warm thru the night it'd probably gas me half to death. :)

Always good to date a tractor before falling in love with it! Much more lasting than the other way around.

My USA book says the L2450DL was built from 76-86, and

serial # 12081 - 1978
serial # 12330 - 1979

I would call it a 1978 if it were a USA model.

That's brilliant. I'm in the UK. Any idea where I can get a copy of the book to prove the age to the licensing authorities here? (assume you're in the states?)
Many thanks meantime and merry Christmas.
