My friend wants to know his tractor weight. So he knows if his trailer will handle it. Now he has a front loader on that old John-A. But think we can figure the total weight out if the John is known. Thanks

My '52A goes around 5400# at pulls. Is stock with cast rear wheels and ROM. Usually bout 1/2 tank gas.
I'd add for loader and 3 pt.

Looks like 4,909lbs for '47 to '52.

I see.. that is a lot of weight... then add the front loader that is real heavy. Hummmm must be about 5400 lbs would be a good guess.

Did seem a bit hefty to me too, but when you load it it's gonna seem a LOT heavier than 4,900lbs. Oh and please, make sure your buddy's trailer has working brakes.

I shoulda told you this right away. Is the tractor anywhere close to a grain elevator/quarry/truck stop, etc.? You could always take a ride to the nearest scale.
