Walked outside this morning and promptly fell down hard on the front step. Yes that is ice. I verified it myself.

They're really taking it in the pants out there in the Midwest. an inch of ice in Oklahoma City. BTW, I used to work with a geologist named Mark Smigelski. We used to call him Smig.

You hit the nail on the head. We've got 1/2" to an inch of ice layered on everything. All the schools are out. Trees everywhere are coated in ice, falling on powerlines and knocking out power. I'm just glad I'm not at the airport, they ran out of de-icer yesteraday, and had to cancel all the flights after 5 or 6pm. As for me, I'm just hunkered down and staying inside.

Kevin

1/2 inch of ice over night with more coming. Schools are closed as well as many other locations. Ball games are rescheduled. Just a good day to stay inside. Wife sent me a text a minute ago from work. It read:
Sticks and stones will all break bones, but the sidewalk was the most exciting. I held onto my a** so I knew what I wanted to fall on.

I think my parents should have moved down there 15 years ago next to my brother.I use to like snow and ice, the older I get the more I hate it. I would be happy to look at dead grass and be warm and dry.
