Have anyone of you out there heard of or used a Clarke mig welder? Seems as though the price is reasonable enough. 180 amp and able to weld up to 1/4 in steel. I just might try one just for kicks..uses gas or flux wire. Would prefer the miller 180 with auto set, and I know it is probably better and last longer. The clarke has a 10 year guantee.

Price the miller at cyberweld.com with free shipping. You might be surprised. I trust the warranty much better than Clarke

Why dont welding people sell CLARKE? They are probably great when new BUT when it doesent work where are you going to get parts. Discount type stores all over are selling them and they do have attractive prices BUT who is going to sell me a tip, liner,or a new drive componet. Stay with a name brand from a welding supply company.

Clarke is their own company. I bet if you look carefully, the warrantee only covers something that can't go wrong for 10 years. Find out if parts and service are available locally. Compare the drive system and gun to a Lincoln or Miller (Hobart). That should tell you something. Is the liner for the gun replacable? If you'd prefer the Miller and the Clarke wasn't to your liking, you'd be kicking yourself for a while. Dave

No direct experience, but between this board and talking to a couple of people that have them, my impression is not good. Go with the name brands: Miller, Hobart, Lincoln.

As far as I can determine, Clarke is a brand label used for stuff sold by TSC stores. I have a couple of their tools. They"re OK for light work, but not recommended for anything serious. Stick with name brands - Miller, Lincoln, Century, etc.
