When I saw the subject line,I thought this story was gonna be like the one Paul Harvey told quite a while back. A guy had an old refridgerator that he needed hauled away. Somebody was gonna charge him $25 for the removal,so he put it out on the front lawn with a For Sale sign on it and somebody stole it.

She had an old broken refrigerator and stove in a rental house. Set them out in the driveway and they were gone the next morning.

Had a frig that worked and was throwing out . Put a 150 dollar sign on it and sold. Set a pair of tires on the curb with wires showing and someone picked them up. You name it broken TV's last about 1 minute. Gave the garbage truck guy a 5 spot to take a tire on rim for a quick removal.

We do that all the time with our junk. Saves a run to the land fill. Stick it out next to the rd and with in a day it usually is gone.
Just goes to show you another mans junk is some one elses treasure.

Here is a story my father-in-law tells about my mother-in-law, and knowing her it is probably true. Once at a mall parking lot she locked her keys in the pickup truck. With no way in she smartly realizes that the rear window will slide open. She cleverly opens the rear window, climbs inside the truck and gets the key. She then climbs back out, goes around the truck, opens the door and gets in the normal way. I said, I could understand why she did this because it was easier for her to just reach in the window and get the key without having to climb all the way in. He laughs even more when he tells people the truck was full size with an extended cab.

I heard once of a little old lady who wrote her County Commissioners and asked if they could move the "Deer Crossing" signs somewhere else besides in front of her house.

She said she was tired of seeing deer hit by cars.

You gotta love 'em.
