At 8 p.m. Sat eve in Lynden Wa (that is as far northwest as you can go) it is snowing and blowing snow. Is about 24 degrees and winds out of the northeast at 25-30 mph. Had our lighted parade in town this evening and we watched it from the truck along the street. Way too cold to be standing out there in the open. I spent too many of these kind of days in SE Iowa till 1984 so think I will grab some pizza and stay by mama and the fire. Hope we don't have to start moving snow in the morning! Migraine

70 degrees today. Pulled another 40 or so tomatoes, lots of bell peppers and jalapenos. Plants are still blooming. What's a snow shovel or ice scraper? 40 model 9N still has no rust.

We've got about 5 inches on the ground now and it's still coming down. I went out driving and stopped at a few places, then when I got home I couldn't even make it back in our driveway without getting stuck. I had a new tow strap in my trunk and my brother was out playing with his new snowplow in the farm driveway right next to me, so he came over and pulled me out.

I'm thinking I may get out the tractor yet tonight and push some snow around. I gotta go to Sheboygan tomorrow and watch my fiance sing, so I'm not gonna have much time to do it tomorrow.

Hard to tell, I have drifts up to my hind end and areas bare, strong, strong wind all day. I am supposed to deliver a load of fire wood to a gal in the am, she's out and cold I guess, may miss mass clearing the drive. Driveway is 1/2 mile long and I havent been down it since noon, was drifting in pretty good already at that time. I think all the snow on the 65 acres to the east of me is ending up in the farm yard here.

Quarter to nine in mid Michigan. Fine snow is pounding the east side of the house. Been coming down since about 5. Supposed to turn to ice in the morning then to rain.Probably loose some fences to cars sliding off before it's all over.

RR, the back roads are nasty this AM, county has scraped down main roads pretty well. If the temperature drops today that snow will be a nasty mass of ice! Fortunately we didn't get enough ice to bring down trees and powerlines to any great extent.

Quit raining about 7 this morning and cleared off for a beautiful day in the 60's with a nice breeze.

Dad is up in SW ND and said he has about 4 inches of snow. Nothing to get too excited about because he only has to get around with the 4450 MFWD to feed cattle! LOL

Drive safe out there on that ice. third party image

Same thing up here. Earlier today I saw drops coming off the roof, so it must be melting a little. I watched a township truck go by twice now. By the sound of it, he was scouring that road pretty close. Still can't get me to drive on it, though. Looks like the snow went north. If ya ask me, I'd rather have 4 inches of snow than 1/4 inch of ice.

Not pretty here either, 2 hours south of Chicago. My son just got checked into Ohare for an overnight flight to England. His flight from Peoria was cancelled so he had to drive. Turned out that everyone else's connecting flights were cancelled also so there are 13 company guys going to fly all night over the big pond and get to Heathrow at 9AM their time.

Warned about 10-12 inches of snow- NW of Minneapolis metro. Pretty well pooped out, as usual, weathermen like to scare everyone-yeah, like they ever have to work outside, etc.? Hr NW of metro, we have a few inches..... ...county snowplow truck went through at 2 pm..... ...for what? Skidloader is plugged in, tracks are on, no problem to get to church tomorrow. Likely that we can take the van, instead of the 4wd p/u.! Like we haven"t gone through this before? Turning out to be a non-event around here.
