Finally recieved my skidloader today! Full tank, and a lot bigger bucket than I thought I was getting( no I am not complaining). I better take a pic or two of it before the work starts. It rolled off the assembly line on 11/21/07.

Just in time, especially with the current forecast! 6-10" of that white stuff for the weekend. Nasty.

I hope it holds off until noon, we have 15 cornstalk bales and about 13 hay bales yet to move 10 miles in the am.

Dave

I bought a used Bobcat when we built our house in 2001. My idea was to buy a used one, use it while building for landscaping and other chores and sell it when I didn't need it any more. Well, that day hasn't come. Most useful toy that I own. I got a snow blade with it. I just put the chains on it last night. With chains on the back tires, it's like a little bull dozer for pushing snow!

Have fun!

What kind of chains? Similar to truck tire chains?

We usually rent a skid loader every couple of years to clean out pens in the barn and do a few other misc. things... we always say that for a few hours a year it doesn't pay to own one, but if it was there I believe it would get used almost every day!

Enjoy it!

I own a skid loader with cab, heat and air. Wish it had a radio because I use it so much. Just finished building a used barb wire roller, that makes attachment number 8 for the skid loader. Really like the hydraulic disconnect to change attachments from the operators seat.

Bobcat S130, cab/heat/suspension seat/rear axle counter weights(increases my lifting by 200#), has selectable hand or foot controls for loader/bucket operation. So 1500# rated operating capacity, 46hp, 17 gpm hyd flow, 5235# operating wieght, $22000 cash. Now to make a deal on a snow blower or convert mine, and I will actually not become and ice cube clearing snow this year!

Was that brand new ? If so it kinda seems like a decent price compared to the used ones I see advertised. They seem to want near that for used ones ?

What! No air and MX radio? LOL! If the day ever comes that I can justify owning one, I won't hesitate to buy it.

No radio, I will just borrow the daughters IPOD, or the wifes MP3 or what ever them things are if they can teach me to use it. What ever happened to good old "walkman's". I tape of any 80's rock band, or the man in black's tape and I am good to go. A/C would be nice, but I dont like going from cold to hot getting in and out, nothing worse than the sniffles in July!

Dave That is one of the most useful pieces of equipment that there is. I am in the process of building a bale spear for mine at this time. And after today the door is going back on the cab and the heat will be turned on. [ Good luck with it] Jim WJ N-E- MN.
